New Launches and Expansions

Bedrock and Videoland launch TV Gemist to NL households, adding nearly one million new potential users. With RTL Hungary, Bedrock introduces three hybrid service tiers: RTL+ Light (AVOD), RTL+ Activ (Telco), and RTL+ (SVOD). Bedrock expands its international footprint and opens a new office in Lisbon, Portugal.

  • Jonas Engwall

    With more than 20 years’ experience in the media and technology industry, and a professional career spanning almost a dozen countries, Jonas brings extensive expertise and a proven track record for leading business growth and international expansion. He joined RTL Group in 2007 in various strategy and business development positions. From 2013, he led the launch of RTL Group channels in India, and was appointed Chief Executive Officer of RTL CBS Asia, which was launched across 19 territories. In 2017, he served for two years as Head of iflix Asia – rolled out in 13 countries. Prior to joining Bedrock, he had rejoined RTL Group in 2019 as Senior Vice President Global Operations Management VOD. Jonas holds a Master in Economics and a Bachelor in Computer Science from the University of Uppsala, Sweden.

  • Thomas Sangouard

    Thomas holds two decades of experience in large infrastructure build up, software development and operations management in media, telecommunications and OTT technologies. Prior to joining Bedrock, he was previously Chief Technology Officer at OTT platform Molotov for three years. From 2009 to 2016, Thomas held various senior roles at telecom company SFR, first as Director of TV Engineering Set-top Boxes & Mobile Services, and then as Director of Fixed and Mobile Networks. Before joining SFR, he held various management positions in IT engineering at NEUF Cegetel for eight years after starting his career as a Project Manager at Capgemini in 1998.

  • Nicolas Auffret

    Nicolas brings 15 years of experience in media & technology, mostly in digital task forces and international environments. Before joining Bedrock, he was Vice President in charge of Partnerships, Brand and Business Development at OTT platform Molotov since 2016. Prior to this role, he was Head of Consumer Division at Oodrive, a cloud-based software company.

    From 2006 to 2013, Nicolas held various positions at TF1 Group, first as Senior Manager Strategy and Innovation and then as Head of Distribution for free-to-air, PayTV and streaming services. Nicolas Auffret holds a Master in Management from EDHEC Business School.

  • Véronique Faugeras

    Véronique holds two decades of experience in delivering platforms and services in B2B and B2C environments mainly around video : IPTV, OTT, content protection and anti-piracy. Before joining Bedrock she was Director of Operations at Viaccess-Orca with responsibilities on content protection SaaS offers from deployment to customer satisfaction. From 2015 to 2017, as CTO of VOD-Factory, she developed OTT services for French retailers (la Fnac, Cdiscount) and niche content providers (YogaPlay, Benshi). Before VOD-Factory, she spent 10 years at SFR among which, she engineered and delivered triple-play and OTT services but also managed the delivery team for core network transformation initiatives (VoLTE, Packet Core Virtualisation…).

    With 20 years of experience in Finance, Eric leads the Finance/Legal/Purchasing/General Services team of Bedrock since 2020. Eric had joined M6 Group in 2008 as Head of internal Audit, and later moved to a Head of Investor Relations and Secretary of M6 Supervisory Board role in 2010.

    Prior to joining M6 Group, he had started his career at Deloitte (Audit) before working at PSA (Controlling and Purchasing). Eric holds a Master of Science in Management from ESSEC Business School and a History Degree from University Paris La Sorbonne.

  • Caroline Meyer

    With 15 years of experience in the Telecommunications industry, Caroline leads the HR team at Bedrock since early 2020. She’s in charge of recruiting our future talents and creating a positive work environment at Bedrock, with the help of her team. Before that, Caroline worked for more than 13 years for the SFR group, both in the Distribution and HR areas. Prior to joining Bedrock, she was the HR lead for Alila Promoteur in Lyon.

    Caroline holds a Master in Human Resources from the IAE in Aix-en-Provence.

  • Charline Robbe

    Charline has over 10 years of experience in media & technology and is specialized in product growth. Before joining Bedrock, she worked at Pentalog as Head of Product. She later was Head of Growth & Innovation Services in Europe  and set up the B2B Discovery approach to help clients grow their business. 

    Prior to this role, she was Product Manager at Canal+ before taking up the role of Associate Director & Product Manager at Soluti - a digital innovation agency owned by Pentalog - where she built the product consulting activity within the agency.

    Sylviane has 15 years of experience in agile product design & strategy, project management, B2B client product & solutions management.

    From 2012 she cofounded and led B2B operations of a digital personal assistance service that expanded to 3 continents servicing big industry fidelity programs and digital strategies . She joined Bedrock in 2017 and is now in charge of overseeing client onboarding experience & proposition from pre-sales to solutions design, commercial product strategy and deployment handover.

    With a solid technology background (ECE IT Engineering graduate) and business skills supported by an innovation specialized MBA (Quantic School of Business & Technology), Sylviane is driven by customer satisfaction and delivery efficiency.

  • Hitesh Maisuria

    Hitesh is an entrepreneurial individual who delivers new business, onboarding and managing partners to drive net new revenues and value for customers. Before joining Bedrock, Hitesh held senior commercial positions at Deltatre, Comcast Technology Solutions, TV App Agency, and Brightcove. 

    Hitesh is a seasoned sales professional with over 16 years of B2B experience across the OTT space working with some of the world's largest entertainment and sports broadcasters, pay TV operators, and D2C content owners.  Hitesh comes to Bedrock with a proven track record in delivering and closing multi-million euro sales opportunities that are complex in nature.

  • Nicolas de Tavernost

    Nicolas de Tavernost has been Chairman of the Executive Board of Groupe M6 since May 2000. He started his career in 1974 at the French Foreign Trade Department and then held several positions in ministerial cabinets. From 1981 to 1986, de Tavernost headed various governmental delegations, and eventually worked as director of the audiovisual activities at Lyonnaise des Eaux. In 1987 he joined M6 as Managing Director and became President of the advertising sales house M6 Publicité in 1988.

  • Valéry Gerfaud

    Valéry Gerfaud is a member of the Executive Committee of Group M6 since November 2007 and General Manager in charge of Distribution, Digital, Innovation and Technologies. In this role, he is responsible for the digital transformation of the Group, with a specific focus on increasing the linear and non-linear distribution of the television and radio antennas through OTT services or partnerships with distributors. He also manages the technology teams working on television and radio broadcasting as well as digital services.

    Before, he held several senior roles within telecommunication company SFR including BtoC Marketing Manager and Mobile Multimedia Program Manager and has also been COO at Club Internet (T-Online France).

    Valéry Gerfaud is an engineer graduated from the Ecole Polytechnique and the ENSAE.

  • Elmar Heggen

    In 1992, he started his career at the Felix Schoeller Group, becoming Vice President & General Manager of Felix Schoeller Digital Imaging in the UK in 1999. Elmar Heggen first joined the RTL Group Corporate Centre in 2000 as Vice President Merger & Acquisitions. In January 2003, he was promoted to Senior Vice President Controlling & Investments. From July 2003 until December 2005 he was Executive Vice President Strategy & Controlling.

    Since January 2006, Elmar Heggen has served on the RTL Group Executive Management team. From October 2006 till August 2019, he was Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Head of the Corporate Centre of RTL Group.

    In January 2018, Elmar Heggen, while remaining CFO, also became Deputy CEO of RTL Group. In April 2018, Elmar Heggen was appointed Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Groupe M6.

    In August 2019, Elmar Heggen took over the newly created role of Chief Operating Officer. In this position, Elmar Heggen is responsible for coordinating and further optimising the operations across the Group’s international footprint. As Executive Director, he continues to serve on RTL Group’s Board of Directors. In February 2020, he joined the Bertelsmann Group Management Committee.

    Elmar Heggen holds a diploma in business administration from the European Business School and graduated with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in finance.

  • Andreas Fischer

    Andreas Fischer, born in 1970, became Head of Business Development at RTL Group in July 2019. In January 2020, he was promoted to Executive Vice President Business Development.

    Andreas started his career at RTL Group in 2000 and has worked in various functions before joining RTL Group’s Strategy & Controlling department in 2010, where he became Vice President Mergers & Acquisitions in 2011. In 2013, he took over the management and coordination of RTL Group’s Synergy Committees. In September 2015, Andreas became Senior Vice President Business Development & Emerging Markets. He was appointed Senior Vice President Business Development and Regional Operations CEE & Asia on 1 January 2017. Andreas was appointed Senior Vice President (SVP) Global Operations Management Broadcast & Content in March 2018.

    Andreas holds a law degree from Ruprecht-Karls-University Heidelberg (Germany) and a Master of Laws degree from University of New South Wales and University of Sydney (Australia).

  • Mouna Sepehri

    Mouna SEPEHRI is a Managing Partner and co-founder of Orson. A member of the Paris Bar, Mouna has more than 25 years of experience in senior executive positions.
    Before co-founding Orson, she played an instrumental role in the foundation and development of the Renault-Nissan Alliance. Having joined Renault in 1996 as Deputy General Counsel, she took part in the negotiations that led to the creation of the Alliance in 1999. She then held various executive responsibilities within the Alliance as Executive Vice-President and Secretary of the Renault-Nissan Alliance Board.In 2011, she was named a member of the Renault Group Executive Committee.
    In 2019, finally, Mouna was appointed Special Advisor to the CEO of the Renault Group.
    Mouna began her career in 1990 as a lawyer in Paris and then New York.
    She has served as a Board member in numerous listed companies, including Nexans, Danone, Orange, and M6 Group.

  • Björn Bauer

    Björn Bauer graduated in business administration in 2005 from the European Business School (Oestrich-Winkel, Germany).

    In 2005, he started his career at the international management consultancy Arthur D. Little and then joined Bertelsmann in 2007, where he held successive positions in Corporate Controlling and Strategy.

    In February 2015, Björn Bauer was appointed Head of M&A at the online learning provider Relias in Cary, North Carolina, which Bertelsmann had acquired in November 2014. In September 2015, he was appointed CFO of Relias. After nearly four years in the United States, he returned to Gütersloh in January 2019 as Bertelsmann’s Executive Vice President for Corporate Controlling and Strategy.

    In August 2019, he was appointed CFO of RTL Group.
